Dear ALHS Students and Parents:

Welcome to Alta Loma High School, home of the Braves, for the 2017-2018 school year! I hope you had a wonderful summer and are ready to kick off another great school year!  I am humbled and honored to be your Principal and Alta Loma High School. Our staff looks forward to this upcoming year filled with great learning and memories to be made.

Alta Loma High School has been the premier high school in the Inland Empire for over 54 years. Throughout this time, Alta Loma has enjoyed much success in academics, athletics, arts and activities. Understanding our vision, all students will graduate ready for college and careers, drives our staff to continually focus on providing effective classroom instruction and increasing student achievement. With extensive Advanced Placement and Honors courses, along with our Academy program, our students will be challenged and prepared for the future of college and careers.  As a result of our efforts, we have been named as a California Gold Ribbon School in 2017 along with once again, US News and World Report Americas Best Schools!

Parents and Guardians, you play an equally important role in the success of both your student and our school. We encourage you to emphasize the importance of student learning and daily attendance with your child, communicate often with our teachers who are here to support all of our Braves and regularly monitor grades and academic progress through School Loop.

I am extremely excited for the 2017-18 school year and we look forward to seeing our Braves back on Monday, August 7th for the first day of school.

Some important fall semester upcoming dates are:

  • First Day of School - Monday, August 7, 2017
  • Back to School Night– Wednesday, August 23, 2017
  • Labor Day – September 4, 2017

I look forward to the upcoming year as we embark on this journey together in preparing Alta Loma High School students for college and careers. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the school.

Welcome to the Alta Loma High School Academy Program

Alta Loma High School is excited to continue our new program and class schedule for the 2016-2017 school year. Designed by Alta Loma teachers & staff, our new Academy Schedule will increase academic achievement, offer more individualized help from teachers and peers, and help students build social relationships at school. This extra time is built in so students can get tutoring, help from teachers, and help from peers within the school day! The Academy Schedule involves 4 components: Brave Academy, Brave Study, Brave Tutorial, and Brave Activities. Students will be placed into one of these four areas during Academy time.
